Gansevoort Gallery, New York 2007
New York Design Week 2007
On the occasion of the 2007 New York Design Week, the American design magazine Surface invited eight designers from around the world to present their latest works in the Gansevoort Gallery. The star-studded exhibition in the heart of the meat packing district, one of the most creative hotspots of the world, showcased contemporary experimental design. The guiding principle of this exhibition curated by Shonquis Moreno was to present previously unpublished works. Thomas Feichtner showed two prototype lamps for a Milan lamp manufacturer and glasses for the traditional glass manufacturer J&L Lobmeyr. The items, most of which were not for sale, provided an insight into the current activities of a variety of young design studios.
